A Glorious Moment: Hui Zhongyi, Chairman of Abundance International Education, Awarded Knight of the Order of the Crown of Belgium!

On June 5, 2026, a solemn and glorious conferral ceremony was grandly held at the CR Land Building in Nanshan District, Shenzhen. In accordance with the Belgian Royal Decree of April 30, 2026, His Majesty King Philippe of Belgium graciously granted a special award to Mr. Hui Zhongyi, Chairman of Abundance International Education, conferring upon him the Knight Rank of the Order of the Crown of Belgium.

The Order of the Crown of Belgium is one of Belgium's three national orders of merit, established in 1897 by King Leopold II of Belgium to honor those who have made outstanding contributions to Belgian national interests, international relations, or specific fields. In the order system, the "Knight" rank represents the fifth grade and is an extremely prestigious honor.

Exactly as Consul General Peeters stated: "Recipients of the Belgian Royal Knight's Order are all outstanding individuals. Only a very small number of people in China have received this order." With the gracious approval of King Philippe of Belgium, Mr. Hui Zhongyi, Head of Abundance International Education and China Management Center of HEC Liège Executive Education, was specially awarded the "Knight Rank of the Order of the Crown of Belgium", in recognition of his outstanding contributions to China-Belgium education, economic cooperation and exchange. This is not only the coronation of personal honor, but also an official certification and solemn courtesy from the Belgian national level for his achievements in the field of education.

Behind this honor lies a fifteen-year journey of exploration and practice in international higher education. In 2011, Mr. Hui Zhongyi, always upholding the philosophy of "wholeheartedly serving executive education and making lifelong learning the most beautiful experience of life," with foresight and persistent pragmatic spirit, introduced the executive education programs (EMBA, EMAM, EMPM, EMF, EMA, EMDT, EDBA, etc.) of HEC Liège Management School of the University of Liège, a top European business school with a century-old heritage, to China. Over the past fifteen years, he has cultivated thousands of Chinese enterprise management talents, built an elite alumni network radiating across China, and erected a solid and vibrant bridge for educational exchange between China and Belgium. Professor Hui Zhongyi was therefore awarded the title of "Outstanding Partner" by the University of Liège. This conferment is not only the Belgian Kingdom's recognition of Mr. Hui Zhongyi's personal contributions, but also a positive outlook on the enduring cooperation between China and Belgium in the fields of higher education, talent cultivation, and economic and trade integration. On the same day, Ms. Zheng Yanling, Secretary-General of the Shenzhen Logistics and Supply Chain Management Association, and Mr. Li Zhi, Director-General, also received the Order of the Crown of Belgium together with Professor Hui Zhongyi. The conferral ceremony of the Order of the Crown Knight was presided over by Consul General Wim Peeters of Belgium in Guangzhou. Accompanied by solemn music, Consul General Peeters successively pinned the medals and presented certificates to the award recipients, posing for commemorative photographs.

A certificate of knighthood and a medal of the Order of the Crown represent both a solemn summary of past achievements and a heartfelt expectation for the future journey. The weight of this medal stems from Mr. Hui Zhongyi's fifteen years of unremitting dedication. In addition to deep cultivation in the field of executive education, Mr. Hui Zhongyi has promoted educational cooperation and exchange between multiple Chinese universities, including Shenzhen University, and HEC Liège Management School of the University of Liège. In 2023, Abundance International Education, led by Mr. Hui Zhongyi, won the Annual China-Belgium Cooperation Award jointly presented by the Embassy of the Kingdom of Belgium in China, the Consulate General in Guangzhou, the Consulate General in Shanghai, and the Consulate General in Hong Kong. Fifteen years of cultivation and harvest could not have been achieved without the trust and support of fellow travelers. In his speech, Mr. Hui Zhongyi stated: "The honor of this Order conferred by the Kingdom of Belgium is not only mine personally, but also the best confirmation for my fellow travelers who have worked hard for China-Belgium cultural and educational development. This honor equally belongs to the University of Liège and all our alumni. Therefore, I sincerely pay tribute to the University of Liège and HEC Liège Management School. Your excellent quality as a world-class institution with AACSB and EQUIS dual crown accreditation enables Chinese students to embrace world-class management wisdom. I also sincerely pay tribute to colleagues from teaching centers across the country—especially to important partners such as Dean Yang, President Yao, Dr. Qiu, and Dean Li who came to the scene today specially.
